With $4.967 billion in Q3 quarterly revenue – a 37.6% YoY increase – Qualcomm retook the first spot on the top 10 list.
Second-ranked Broadcom recovered from six consecutive quarters of YoY revenue declines to register $4.626 billion in quarterly revenue in 3Q20, a 3.1% increase YoY.
Third-placed Nvidia’s revenues for 3Q20 increased by 55.7% YoY, the highest % growth on the top 10 list.
AMD scored wins in the notebook, desktop, data centre, and gaming console markets. The company’s quarterly revenue reached $2.801 billion, a 55.5% increase YoY, which is the second-highest % growth behind that of Nvidia.
Realtek and Novatek of Taiwan took seventh and eighth spots on the top 10 list, both surpassing Marvell. In particular, Realtek trailed closely behind Xilinx in quarterly revenue by only about $7 million.
Xilinx and Dialog remained the only two top ten fabless companies to see declining revenues in 3Q20. Xilinx’s networking and communication revenues fell by 37% YoY, and revenues from Dialog’s custom mixed-signal products decreased by 19.6% YoY, leading to a weak Q3 with quarterly revenues of $386 million.
